- 100 g margarine
- 100 g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100 g Self Raising Flour
- 675 g cooking apples, peeled and cored
- 50 g sugar
- Heat oven to 180ºC, 350ºF, Gas Mark 4. Grease an ovenproof dish.
- Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, adding a little flour with each.
- Gently fold in remaining flour.
- Thinly slice apples and layer in dish with sugar.
- Prepare cake mixture and use to cover the apples. Bake for about 40 minutes.
