Workshop Wednesday # 5 - how to make a fabric pear KS3 textiles Year 8

I use this tutorial with my year 8 class when we do the fabric food project. It was originally from Mollie Makes magazine issue 6, but I have made it more detailed for my pupils with more photographs to explain the process. Hope you also enjoy making a fabric pear.

First choose your fabrics you could use one, two, three or six patterns if you wish. Choose lightweight cotton dress making fabrics.

Then iron interfacing on to the reverse of all your fabrics.

Then draw on the outline of the pear segments onto your interfacing. You will need 6.
Templates can be found here http://mos.molliemakes.com/MollieMakes6_temps.pdf or you can make your own.
